Saint-François

Saint-François in Guadeloupe is a small city at the east to Grande Terre in Guadeloupe, surrounded by beautiful white sand beaches in a safe place behind the the reef. Among the most beautiful beaches: the beach of Raisins Clairs, one of the most famous in Guadeloupe, the Lagoon beach, Le Meridien Beach, the beach of Anse du Mancenillier, the small beach with coconut trees l'Anse des Rochers and to the magnificent wild Cape Pointe des Chateaux, facing the island of La Désirade, the Salines beach, the beach of Anse à la Gourde, the naturist beach of Anse Tarare. Saint-François is also a fishing harbor with its fish market, a seaport with connections 1/2 hour sail to the island of Désirade, and the island and the Natural Reserve of Petite-Terre, which can be discover by catamaran and by foot, and see many iguanas des Petites Antilles (protected species). A large marina, and numerous water sports: diving, boat rentals, jet skiing, kayaking, excursions to the islands. Near the Marina: 18-hole golf course, the flying club that offers first fly and discovery of Guadeloupe from the sky, riding and horse trekking with horse and rider bath sea at the Haras de Saint-François. In the city: many restaurants all specialties: Creole, Gourmet, pizza, cocktails ... markets with many fresh products: fish, lobster, vegetables, fruits, rhums ... a nice night market on Tuesday late afternoon between the golf course and the marina.
